Echo is built privacy-first. Your photos, videos and location are analyzed on your device and are never uploaded to us. This policy explains the little data that is involved and how it's handled.
Echo reads your photo library on your device to resurface memories, score shots, and build reels. Your photos and videos are never sent to Echo's servers — there are none for this. Reels you choose to save are written to your own photo library.
If you enable it, Echo uses your location on your device to recognize when you return to a place you've been (the "Orbit" feature) and to tell home from away. Location data stays on your phone and is not uploaded or shared. You can turn location off any time in your device Settings.
On the Echo website, the profile audit reads the screenshots you choose to upload in your browser using on-device text recognition. Only the extracted text is sent to be analyzed and to generate your audit; the images never leave your device, and the text is used for that single request and not stored.
If you join the waitlist or request early access, we collect your email address to let you know when Echo is available and to send related updates. Your email is stored with our email/hosting provider and is never sold. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
Echo Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment; Echo never receives or stores your card or payment details. Echo only learns whether your subscription is active, via Apple's on-device receipt.
Echo keeps a small, on-device diagnostics log (for example, which features ran) to help improve the app and debug issues. It stays on your device unless you explicitly export and share it with us. The website records anonymous, aggregate counts of funnel steps (for example, how many people viewed or completed an audit) with no cookies, no IP addresses and no personal data.
Echo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
